“How to I make it to have my Cable input as default when I turn TV on. I should not have to change input to cable from stupid "Home screen" every single time I turn on TV.”

When I used my DirecTV remote to turn the TV on, it senses the source and that's what I see when the picture comes on. If I use the TV remote, it defaults to whatever input I was last watching (TV sources such as Netflix; DirecTV; Roku; Blu-ray player). I would guess it would be the same if you use your cable remote "on/off" feature. Try it and see.
