A:AnswerFirst I just want to state that a microphone is a microphone there is nothing special about a phone microphone. Beyond that there is no details or any information regarding the Google Home's ability to answer a phone call. I am going to assume that it will not be possible for a few reasons. One if it could they would have shown that feature off during the live unavailing. Two after looking through the specs I do not see anything about Bluetooth and I know it does not have a built in cellular connection so there is no way for it to be able to receiving a call directly or while links via Bluetooth to your phone. The best change you have of it answering a phone call is via google hangouts but based on the intended nature of this device I find that feature to be very unlikely as well.

A:AnswerYes, it will play certain music apps, such as Pandora by "casting" to the device. I do not believe it will connect via true bluetooth. Once a app is set up, your phone or tablet is not necessary. You can simply tell it to play (type of music, ie "play rock music"). It can also be set up as part of a speaker group if you have more than one unit, giving you the capability of playing music in multiple rooms.
A:AnswerIt depends. Some music "stations" require a subscription, however I have yet to have the Home not locate a free station to play the music I want. I listen to all kinds of music so it is pretty impressive that I have not had to subscribe to a service for this! Way to go, Google!
