Our portable air conditioners need to be vented outside through an exhaust hose for the hot air to be let out. We recommend venting these units through a window using a window venting bracket or through a sliding glass door (the brackets are not included with the unit and sold separately). Venting the unit into an attic space may lead to gaps between the exhaust hose and window bracket and affect the cooling performance of the unit.
