This portable AC cools our 550 sqft. living room from 84° down to 73° in about 2 hours. We had to use insulating curtains to block the cool air from going through the doorway leading to our kitchen. To get this AC to work in our living room with our sliding patio door, we had to buy a vertical sliding door portable AC hose adapter. What I like about this AC is it is exceptionally quiet, more so than our Fridgedaire Gallery cylindrical portable AC in our master bedroom! It isn't equipped with Wi-Fi so it lacks smart feature which we enjoy using with our Fridgedaire. It definitely came in handy during the fire season here in SoCal, where it reached 102° along the beaches! If you're thinking of getting one, don't hesitate until another heat wave strikes and all AC sold out. Get one today!

I love this unit. It's not super strong and doesn't blast out cold air like my last one did, but it is plenty strong for what I need. I have a 600 sq. ft. condo and this is in the living room and cools superbly. If you have a larger unit, you might want the next size up in BTUs. This one is 10,000 and is great for my place. Plus it is very quiet and very attractive. I am very pleased.

It does a well enough job to cool our bedroom (11'x14'). But I'm not sure how well it do in a living room setting.

It works but does not cool down the room as much as it should I set it to 70 but the room tem stays at 77 !

Our A/C broke at our house - we live in Houston,TX so you can imagine how hot and humid it was. The self evaporating system worked flawlessly. During the heat of the day it kept our bedroom at 72 degrees and at night as low as 67 degrees. The noise also isn't as bad as some of the other reviewers complained about. But we are used to having a fan on because even with our ac working it gets hot. So its about as loud as having a small tower fan blowing. Worth every penny. We are extremely satisfied with this product.

I live in north central Texas and it gets hot!! My bedroom is a garage conversion and although there is insulation in winter the room is significantly cold and in the summer it gets really warm. I went 4 summers suffering in this hot bedroom trying to make it with a ceiling fan and I never even thought about buying a portable a/c. Thank god i came across the idea of buying one because it is a life saver! My room is pretty big and cools quickly! The size of the a/c is a bit larger than I thought but it doesn't matter because I can stay cool now. I personally don't think the sound is too loud, it's comparable to an air purifier in loudness. Buy this if you are done being hot!

This portable AC has saved my life this summer! One of the hottest in Colorado history, upper 90s every day! Too hot. But with this neat AC I am able to sleep comfortably. Worth every penny. Delivered right to my door, no delivery charge. I was able to get it running all by myself!

Easy to set up. Decent cooling. Noise level is comparable to a window unit. Wish the exhaust hose was move flexible, but the rigid material is more durable.

I love this Air Conditioner. We moved into a new apartment in an area that gets very warm in the summer and fall. It has an wall mounted, personal a/c unit in the living room but it does not reach our bedroom. This product is nearly perfect! It cools the room quickly, isnt loud at all and doesnt take forever to clean/maintain it.

This is the first portable AC that i have bought. It does the job of cooling small room. I wish that it cool down room little faster. During humid days, too much water is draining from the AC. I had to put bucket to collect the water to keep it running for more than 3 hours. Quality is good.

Cools our bedroom and then some. About as noisy as having a fan on at night so that was a plus. The vent hose system is a little cheap but duct tape took care of that. Very pleased with it.

We have a 1000 sq ft apartment with the included AC in the living room but doesn't line up with the hall. Bedrooms get the sun all afternoon. They get warm and stuffy. We put this in the back bedroom. This added unit has been perfect! Whole apartment is cool. We received it a month ago. Haven't had to empty any water. It's quieter than the wall AC in the livingroom. Timer is great. Not one complaint. Great purchase!

The unit works well and definitely cools and dehumidifies. The instructions are easy to understand. We ordered this because it was made in the US and used relatively lower power compared to other models. So that part is very good. The one feature that is not up to the others is the window mounting. Ideally it would be a little taller with more room to reach further down to the sill at the bottom so you don't have to bend the hose to the window as much to get around the sill. Also the expansion bar requires you cut it for all but the widest windows. This part of the system could really have taken a bit more care in the design, but I do see similar issues with folks who bought other brands instead. Otherwise for cooling and electrical usage it does GREAT! So I give it a 4.4 out of 5.

This AC isn't quite as powerful as my previous unit but it's much quieter. The auto-evap system appears to work very well. Every time I check the drain ports on the back it appears to be empty. I use this in the bedroom to keep it cool at night. It takes awhile to cool the room so I usually turn it on a half hour before I turn in. I wish you could direct the fan blades. I use a box fan to help circulate the cool air where I want it. Works very well in my case but I wouldn't recommend it for a large room. Installation was mostly easy but I had to carve through one of the window kit sections in order to make it fit.

Had purchased an earlier model Honeywell for living room. Our home is a mobile home and can get quite warm on sunny days and in the summer. Our central air conditioner is old and very energy inefficient. Very high electric bills in the summers led to our deciding to try a portable A/C. All three have proven to be excellent choices. The two that this review is for are excellent for our bedrooms. Both are quite easy to move around (castors) and relatively quiet.

I have one bedroom apartment. My living room is big enough that you could split into two decent size bedrooms. The air conditioner cools off the room very quickly. And the entire apartment without any problems. It does take up some room. But well worth the job that it does.

You know how your a/c makes it cold on the first floor but the second and third your feel like you are really hot? This is the perfect solution. Casters you can roll it to different rooms an office bedroom in the evening so you can sleep. Works great.

This AC has a slightly louder fan/rattle noise than my previous Denali portable. It functions nearly the same as every one I've owned before - which is to say not as powerful as a window unit, but capable of cooling a single room. I have a work room that gets hotter than the rest of the house and this shaves a few degrees off the temp. I can typically get this room to be 76-79 with central air, then this unit will take it down to 71 from there. If you rely on the portable alone you would not be able to shut it off for any time period if it was over 80 outside, and you will have only a small room to feel comfortable in. If you don't mind the effort/installation/permanent nature of a window unit, you will find those perform better. However, this allowed me to be able to open my window and use a fan instead on nights that were cool outside. As with all portables, the hose and window bracket fit loosely together and I used packaging tape to secure the hose to the unit and bracket. I had to do this with everyone one I've ever owned, so it's not limited to this model.

Needed something in room above my garage. I don't know why it took me so long to consider. Wish I had bought it long a go. Very easy to set-up. Definitely does the job.

I purchased this to replace an older 8000 BTU unit and it is much much better. It now adequately cools the entire room and it's even quiet enough to leave on overnight.
