• I don't know what to compare it to re noise level. But friends who have visited and have owned this type of device (portable air conditioners in general) have all commented about how quiet it is. If you set it on 'low' during your phone calls, it is very quiet.

• It’s not real loud I do have to turn up the tv a little but over all for as great as it works I have no problem with a little noise
