• An exhaust hose is not required, however it is recommended that it be used in a well ventilated room, or placed in front of an open door or window during operation.

• No--that's why it's so much more portable than a "portable" AC. You have to place it near an open door or window and have a cross breeze for it to operate properly, however.

• No it doesn't have an exhaust hose. You just plug it into an outlet like a regular fan. You add Ice water to the reservoir, and it will blow cool humidified air.
