“Hello I know these units are to be we exhausted into a window area. But I don’t have a window and need to ask if anyone has done this? I have a 4” diameter bathroom fan vent hose Can I connect the unit to the 4” flexible hose and get results? Thanks”

It's going to collect condensate trying to vent straight up and flood the floor if trying to use the ceiling vent. Just using a longer hose to reach a window on the same level should be possible but again the moisture it pulls out of the air could pool in the hose. Be bold and have a dryer style vent installed near the outlet you intend to use and make it big enough to attach a dual hose unit if ever needed to upgrade
