Q: Questiondo you have to drain it? is it fully self evaporative?
Asked by Mohu50.
- A:Answer If you want to use it as an AC , you have to drain every 1-2 hours. As for Honeywell response to this, they suggest if you don't want to drain it , you can enjoy their dehumidifier function to self evaporate and sit in 90 degree hear with no AC enjoying their $600 dehumidifier as the AC function will have to be turned off to turn on to dehumidifier function.

Q: QuestionI got his out of our closet and it's immaculate. Clean, no water, nothing. Everything turns on and no cold air. I've done all the troubleshoot stuff. The coils are cold to the touch and the compressor is hot. So it's a one year and done product. Unreal!!
Asked by Shotbadly.
- A:Answer Some thing happened to me. I used it the first summer 2 summers and last year 2023 it didn't blow any cold air. I put it in storage and decided to give it another try this year. No cold. Just feels like the fan.

Q: QuestionHow quiet is this ac.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It is more quiet than I was expecting. Specs says 50db. You can barely hear the compressor, you will more hear a fan running which is perfectly fine and pretty nice. We also have a GE unit 13500 BTU and GE makes more noise than Honeywell! i hope this helps.

Q: QuestionHello I know these units are to be we exhausted into a window area. But I don’t have a window and need to ask if anyone has done this? I have a 4” diameter bathroom fan vent hose Can I connect the unit to the 4” flexible hose and get results? Thanks
Asked by Dave.
- A:Answer It's going to collect condensate trying to vent straight up and flood the floor if trying to use the ceiling vent. Just using a longer hose to reach a window on the same level should be possible but again the moisture it pulls out of the air could pool in the hose. Be bold and have a dryer style vent installed near the outlet you intend to use and make it big enough to attach a dual hose unit if ever needed to upgrade

Q: Questionis this self evaporative or do you have to drain it?
Asked by Mohu50.
- A:Answer Hello Jenie ! Our portable air conditioners work on self evaporation and do not need to be drained unless operating in extremely humid conditions. All instructions to drain the unit are given in the product manual, in an event when the water tank gets full.
