QuestionHow long does this take to start working? I just started using this, filled it up with water following the instructions and plugged it in. Turned the knob to highest setting and the light is green. It’s been sitting for several minutes but no mist yet.

- Answer I run mine while I sleep at highest setting. It uses about 1/2 gallon a night.

QuestionWill this humidifier help with allergies and asthma? I sleep with a c-pap and my head has been so full from allergies, then I can’t breathe through my nose. I thought maybe this will help keep my throat from being so dry. Can I add anything like Vick’s ?

QuestionI was given a homedics humidifier. It has no instructions. It is shaped like this one but plays nature sounds? I don't know how to fill it.

- Answer It looks like mine, but mine doesn't play any sounds. To fill the humidifier, the clear top comes off the bottom base. Just give a little twist to separate the base from the top. Then turn the large clear container upside down and unscrew the cap. Then fill the clear container with cool water, screw cap back on. Then place the top back onto the base. It should snap into place...have the vent on the water container facing he same direction as the control button to fit the filled water container securely on the base.

- Answer Just FYI this only goes out to cusotmers who have ourchased thiis to answer questions. Best Buy will not see our message. You can call the companuy for a replacement, but easier to just print this out or just see rom computer Link below and I will try to attach the manual to this message but it could be too big. Try to download the attachment of there is one and taht is the official manual with cleaning instructions on page 3. https://www.manualslib.com/download/990932/Honeywell-Hul535-Series.html Just realized that this message is a whole year old, so probably never mind!!! But in case you still want the manual I will send tjhis anyway.

- Answer You can contact the manufacture, but try cleaning with some "CLR". If you did not used distilled water but water from the tap - it could be clogged with calcium buildup.

- Answer You turn the water well up side down and add water from the bottom of the unit.
