Does this thermostat work with stranded wire? null

This depends on the wires you currently have going to the thermostat. This model requires a c wire for power. Feel free to contact to confirm compatibility at 800-633-3991. -Joey

I cannot answer question. I had to return the Honeywell smart thermostat twice because the Best Buy contractors could not install. They said the thermostat was defective. I cannot but another thermostat because the members of the geek squad are not available to install the thermostat until sometime next year. I will buy another smart thermostat from another store. Unhappy customer .
