“I have a cell phone, and that's it. I need to replace my thermostat. Can I get someone to just set this up and make the thermostat work only when I come home and manually want it to turn on or off and be hot or cold?”

• You will need to have wifi to use the app on your phone. Otherwise you can set a schedule manually on the thermostat for the temperature of your choosing

• The thermostat doesn't have the ability to determine when you're home or away without being connected to a smart phone. You can operate the thermostat as manual unit without the wifi option. -Joey

• This thermostat will not operate with out being connected to an Wi-Fi. It wouldn’t be a smart thermostat. You can use a much less expensive non smart thermostat
