“I bought this thermostat about a month ago but installed it 2 days ago. It turns off black screen the restarts again. And it’s so hot 76 since it turns on and off it won’t cool. Do i need to return it? This was not cheap.”

Recheck the wiring. Sounds like your power line is loose either at furnace board or the thermostat
