• The thermostat itself is a bit heavier than I thought it was going to be so I can only assume some of what I see sticking out the back of the case might be a sensor for just that purpose. Other than that you could ask Honeywell. Their customer service was very helpful at my pre-purchase stage with questions i had before buying the Thermostat. Good Luck!

• The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity does display indoor humidity that is gathered from the internal humidity sensor.
