“Does the light stay illuminated at night? Concerned about putting thermostat in bedroom if the light is too bright”

• You can choose to leave screen illuminated always on or to go off until you touch the screen to have it come back on when needed and then will go off again. Also can choose multiple colors for the screen.

• It does stay illuminated, however I dont think it would be bothersome in the bedroom. There are also different colors to choose from for the background. We use blue but grey may be more suited to your needs. It is really a great thermostat.
