• Have not tried with Alexa but FAQ says yes. I installed two on my own. The installation guide is straight forward. Took about 15-20 minutes each.

• No, it is not compatible with Alexa. Whether or not it requires professional installation depends on you. I am comfortable with basic electrical wiring, so I was able to install a pair of these in my home without issue. If you aren’t, call a professional to be safe. Best.
