Fairly easy, basically it's just removing the old one and connecting the same wires to the new one , pretty straightforward. However, the only issue I've seen is that if you do not have a "common" wire coming from your current furnace you will need to either to run one or the other option is to use a separate 24v transformer to power up the thermostat,

If you look at the existing wiring and they are wired to the Blue, Black ,white etc. terminal and they match up to the new letters it is very easy. IF you have extra wires, or are missing a blue wire (for example) you may have more of a problem..I would try it..
