A:AnswerIt does stay on all the time, but the screen can be customized to a different color. So, if a black background (or any color) works better, you could try that.
A:AnswerHi Gary, this thermostat is not compatible with 5ghz. Please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook/Twitter with a private message if you would like assistance in finding a thermostat that works for you. -Jim
A:AnswerIt is not supposed to do that. Power comes from the heating cooling system and check the connections to see that nothing is loose
Also is your heating/cooling system resetting/rebooting at the same time? If so that would cause the thermostat to lose power and have to restart. If so check whether your heating and cooling system is supposed to do that or whether you have faulty wiring or other issues that are causing it to reboot each day
A:AnswerHi, thank you for reaching out with this. We would like to gather some more information on this to better assist. Please reach out to our support team on Facebook/Twitter with a private message. We look forward to hearing from you soon. -Jim
A:AnswerNo it will not. Old round (Yo-yo style) thermostats rarely have power going to them. The way I installed mine was I bought a separate plug in 24 volt transformer(Amazon) and wired it in to the proper terminals. If you are not savvy with doing this type.of work you can either call a heating guy or an electrician to assist you. with your install!
A:AnswerBefore I purchased my thermostat I called the HVAC company who installed and services my forced air furnace & AC. They like to install Honeywell thermostats but couldn't match Best Buys price.
I have Best Buys Total Tech service plan. When I ordered my thermostat I olso ordered the Total Tech installation which is free when added to the original order. It was installed on Nov 18 and has been working like a champ. I love the phone app called Total Connect Comfort. I wish the app showed the runtime of the furnace in case a window is left open but wasn't a showstopper for my needs.
A:AnswerHi Vinny, we recommend reaching out to the boiler manufacturer directly regarding this. Our thermostats do require a 24 volt C wire for power. -Jim
