Q: QuestionI have the Honeywell wi-fi smart color thermostat RTH9585WF and I have my temperature now set at 70 degrees. I have it programed at the temperature every day. I went to adjust the heat to 72 degrees and the up arrow does nothing. The down arrow works.

• A:Answer My son installed this. He is 20. He has knowledge on installing thermostats. You will need 5 wires one being a "c" wire. I am sure if you watch youtube videos you could figure it out. I am not savvy about these kinds of things. You will love the thermostat.

I did not have a "C" wire for the second installation and chose to call the Honeywell help line. The person I spoke to was knowledgeable and provided meaningful guidance on connecting the stat. I recommend you call Honeywell and discuss with them

However, the only issue I've seen is that if you do not have a "common" wire coming from your current furnace you will need to either to run one or the other option is to use a separate 24v transformer to power up the thermostat,
