A:Answer Hey there, thanks for your question. If the Smart Home Security is armed or in Away mode and the Access Door/Window Sensor is triggered, the base station will sound the alarm. If it's unarmed or in Home mode, the base station will chime if the sensor is triggered. We don't have specific volume ratings for the alarm or chime, but the volume of the chime is adjustable from the base station and the Honeywell Home app. The alarm volume is not adjustable.
