• Yes, unless your ducting system has trunk zones that allows individual zone control.

• yes, it will, I installed in a second bedroom that usually was closer that main bedroom, I find out the difference was almost 4-5 degrees, now i set this at 70 and the main room up to 74, no bis deal since this bedroom now is comfortable.
