Many factors to that question, 1- are you sure it is the cat? 2- make sure where you are putting your litter box, the litter does not become airborne, also constant check on your indoor humidity and also make sure the machine is properly sized for area in question. So to give you a direct answer it is hard, I use mine for airborne particulate, such as fiberglass, and it has helped me, as my house is a remediation project and I am a certified microbial remediator
