  • QuestionMy dirty water tank is not filling up when I use smartwash Hoover. How do I get it to work

    Asked by Bell.

    • Answer Hi Bell, If you are experiencing loss of suction, we recommend you turn off your SmartWash and empty the Dirty Water Tank. Ensure the Nozzle Cover is attached properly and in the locked position, then check that the Dirty Water Tank is attached properly. Lastly, clear the Debris Filter and rinse it. Please give us a call at 800.944.9200 if you have additional questions. Thank you! Matt - Hoover Team

  • QuestionMy hoover smartwash will not dispense water, what could be problem.?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Check the part that holds the water. It probably isn't securely attached.

  • QuestionHow do I clean the wide nozzle? There is lint and hair trapped inside of the nozzle and will not rinse out.

    Asked by Shayla.

    • Answer My husband used a small bamboo skewer to dislodge the remaining debris and then rinsed the nozzle again. I think a small screwdriver would also work since most of the buildup (for us, at least) was right at the lower edge of the nozzle.

  • QuestionTrouble shooting question . When I use my carpet cleaner. The light where it says Wash And Dry keeps flashing at the same time. Any ideas why it's doing this?

    Asked by Karen.

    • Answer I have no problems with mine and I have been used it for 4 weeks in a row. You can take it to the Geek Squad, probably is a manufacturer issue with any of the sensors.

  • QuestionWas using it and it was working fine then I noticed whenever I would push forward it’s not switching to wash and staying on dry. I tried taking all the tanks off and putting back on I’ve tried shutting it off and back on and nothing seems to be working..

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer There is a "Dry Only" button on top next to the handle pole. Press it and see if your SmartWash+ begins to wash again. The button is there to assist drying after cleaning and will not wash when engaged. If your SmartWash+ continues to have issues, please contact us at https://www.hoover.com/contactus/. • QuestionHave a Hoover SmartWash carpet cleaner. Just it up. When turned on the brushes do not turn. What can be the problem?

    Asked by Joel.

    • Answer My brushes spin when reclined but not touching the carpet. Once it is lowered to the carpet it makes a nasty screeching sound. It is like the brushes don't have enough power to spin on the carpet.

  • QuestionSmart wash rollers don't turn. Turn manually but not auto. Cannot find how to replace belt. What to do?Model FH52000

    Asked by tenpop.

    • Answer I’m still trying to figure out how to take the thing apart to get to the same belt you were talking about because mine made a crazy noise then they stopped spinning on their own. I just got it on Christmas (2 months ago) & I’m already having issues with it. Getting disappointed that I bought this one.
