      Answer

NOPE. That's why it no longer called the SteamVac, but rather the MaxExtract. Copy the Model Number from the Best Buy website and look it up on Amazon or Hoover.com. It's the MaxExtract that uses "Forced Heat" technology. For what it's worth, steam would probably melt your carpets. I'd be more concerned that the entire SpinScrub assembly is made of plastic. That's what broke on mine. It's a common problem with these units. Look at the Rug Doctor Upright Deep Cleaner instead.

Ball for dirty water receptacle keeps popping up   (1 Answer)

After 2 or 3 swipes with the machine, the plastic ball pops up and you have to stop, remove the lid from the receptacle, and manually push it down. If you bump anything, it does the same thing. This is very frustrating and irritating especially when you're trying to do a complete room. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?

        Answer

Hi Ricky! The float can pop up prematurely if the filter is dirty or if you're using too much soap. To clean the filter simply rinse it under running water. Also, be sure you are using the recommended amount of solution in your SteamVac. If your solution is 2X concentrated, dilute it with water. Hope this helps! ~Kenya, Hoover Customer Care

Could I use this on ALL my tile, hardwood, plus clean my carpets???   (5 Answers)

Not to sound stupid, but being at sea for years, I am not clear on today's products. Last I knew, you had to purchase 2 different entities as far as machines go. I don't want to purchase yet another flop, and I don't want to spend a fortune, especially while I am in a rental home. I am looking for something that I can use on all floors. I could work on the kitchen tile and take it to the bedroom where there is carpeting without having to change out machines and go through a big process. Until I am able to find the machine of the future to vacuum and steam my tile, go into the bedrooms to do the vaccuum, as well as have the machine determine the stain, decide on it's own what it is and already have the right solution to get it out, I won't know what to purchase! Lol! In the meantime, like I said, I'm not aware of what these machines are capable of. Could someone please let me know if I'm on the right track and if I'm not, please direct me on the machine that will fit my needs? Ocean girl needs help!!! Thanks for any help I can get!

Could I use this on ALL my tile, hardwood, plus clean my carpets???   (3 Answers)

Hoover SteamVac F7452-900 is the product in question. I don't normally worry about floors as I have a cleaning lady who does them weekly, so now that I have moved and no longer on an endless cruise ship working, (we don't have to worry about floors) I am completely clueless on the extent of what they are capable of these days. I am looking for something that I can use on my tile and also take it to the bedroom where there is carpeting without having to purchase 2 machines. I'm not sure if this is possible, I think this will do the trick from what I read, however, I don't know really. Until they invent something that can clean your kitchen floors, scrubbing out stains in grout, then being able to take the same machine to the carpeted bedrooms, where if there is a stain on the carpet it will analyze the problem by letting you know what the stain source is and already have all the solutions ready to combat whatever stain so that whatever the case may be, remove the stain

can i use zep floor stripper in the solution tank   (2 Answers)

I have the model f7452. I have not been able to buy the hard floor solution for sometime now and use other cleaning solutions in the rank. I have used Mr. Clean, ammonia among other things. I have purchased Zep floor stripper and was wondering if I could use this product in the solution tank.
