“My Hoover upright vacuum cleaner works for 5 minutes then quits. I can then start it up 15 minutes later and works for another 5 minutes then quits. What is wrong with it? I got it from a friend and she never had a problem with it-gently used. plz help!”

It's over heating and shuts down.....clean it out real good if that doesn't work get it repaired at a shop
