Unfortunately, no. I got these to use while I wait to send in my normal joycons for repair, but if I need NFC, I can just click in my old right joycon to use that then re socket this one. The reason it doesn't work is the sticks are a different style than the classic joycons, but they work just as well, perhaps better, excluding the NFC incompatibility. My recommendation, if you have the standard joycons still, is to keep them to use the right one for NFC, and if not, single joycons can be bought from Gamestop online for around $20.

I actually bought this for my husband because all the joy cons are out of stock right now and the joysticks on all four sets of the joy cons have drift issues. This control can only be used attached to the switch. The grip and feel is nice and seems like you won’t have issue with drifting. Not sure if I answered your question but I hope it helps.
