Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Split Pad Pro DAEMON X MACHINA Edition Controller for its comfort, especially for those with large hands. They appreciate the solid build quality, evenly distributed weight, and the fact that it does not suffer from drift issues. While some customers wish it had wireless connectivity and rumble features, they generally find the controller to be a great value for the price.

I went from staring at my Switch collect dust to now playing it more than ever. These pro joy cons are what the normal joy cons should be. I hope Nintendo continues w this route just add the HD Rumble, etc.

My Joycons keep drifting and I fix them myself but I’m tired of it so I got these and dang I love them. Not only does it make handheld feel like I’m holding a pro controller but it gives it better grip like the grip I already have. It makes my switch in handheld feel more sturdy. The sticks are longer than JC. Only downside is games that use rumble won’t work. I have to switch to JC to play Clubhouse games because the rumble is done well in those games and I like to experience those games with rumble. I definitely think this is a must buy for main usage or back up.

This think makes the switch oddly bulky and long, and I doubt anyone has ever thought to make a case that would house it. That said, this is the most reliable, clicky, well put together controller for a console I've had the pleasure of using in YEARS. This thing is a work of ART. I am FINALLY able to play for 2+ hour without my hands cramping or my palms getting numb. And the space between the controls gives me enough room that my fingers don't cramp. They're also surprisingly lite. No wireless function is a small price to pay for these absolutely marvelous inventions. I can't believe I didn't get a pair sooner.

I'd highly recommend these especially if you have bigger hands. my old joycon were drifting and i had to send them to Nintendo to be repaired. Fantastic replacements if you don't mind loosing rumble, bluetooth, and nfc. I use these whenever I use the switch as a portable. the large joysticks and the extended grips makes the entire system fit in my hands a lot better than the standard joy con. Had these for 6 months and haven't had an issue yet.

Great Option for Players with Large Hands

This controller is a great joy con alternative for players who have larger hands or want a more traditional controller experience. While it might lack some features, such as NFC, rumble, and motion controls, I feel that those are worth not getting cramps from long handheld play sessions with the stock joy cons.

For the price it'd be nicer if it had a better feel to it, like a textured, rubber grip, as this accessory cannot be used as a standard separate controller. Just feels overpriced with such a plastic feel to it. That said, it does feel good in the hands and buttons are easier to use. It serves it's purpose well. It is light. The switch feels huge in your hands with this.

The title says it all. If you have larger hands, or massive hands like me, then you know just how cramped your hands get with the joycons. Simply put; this solves that completely. I can't attest to the battery life being sucked dry, but I haven't noticed it despite my play sessions getting longer because of the comfort of these bad boys.

These controllers look so ridiculous. The Switch unit becomes very large once you’ve put the controllers on. It’s essentially as if you were to cut a Pro Controller in half and place one on each side. However, don’t let the looks deter you. The controllers feel amazing in the hands. Surprisingly, it isn’t not awkward to hold at all. The weight is distributed evenly. As an added bonus, there are extra buttons on the back of each controller that are customizable hot keys. Super helpful for games like Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. Although the size makes it a little impractical to take outside in public easily, it feels very comfortable to play while at home. If you don’t have a tv (or prefer not to use one), the controllers offer the benefits of a Pro Controller, with the access of Joy Cons. [Do note that these DO NOT work wirelessly, they MUST be attached to the console unit to function.]

Decent grips and sturdiness, but there is a bit of wiggle room and not being able to detach and use wireless is a slight drag. Being able to set the back paddles is extremely convenient though. It's a mobile gaming only controller, otherwise it would be 5* but also more expensive.

This controller could have been great. Honestly I expected a much higher quality product from a company that is licensed by Nintendo. Pros: it's bigger than the standard joy-cons and has turbo capability. Cons: no rumble features, no Amiibo support, the joy sticks are not nearly as responsive as the joy-cons, no wireless capability(it has to stay connected to the switch to be used). I have no idea how this product made it to production. Two stars, well, because at least they tried.

While I'm a big fan of Nintendo's joy-con controllers, they leave a lot to be desired when playing certain types of games: driving, FPS, anything with faster action. The Hori Split Pad makes your Switch feel more like a regular controller without adding much in the way of weight. The controls themselves are solid and it feels VERY durable. If you find yourself playing in handheld mode a lot, I think these are a must.

Average build quality and lack of any rumble support resulted in this being returned. The controller is more comfortable than the standard Joycons but overall not worth losing rumble. I've tried 3 of these third party controllers/grips and haven't been satisfied so far so I'll keep looking.

Was looking for a replacement for my Joy Cons as they went in for repair. Wanted something bigger than the stock Joy Cons as my hands are big and the JCs are not. This fit the bill, my hands no longer cramp playing the switch in handheld mode. The back triggers are neat for FPS like games, or anything where you'd like a back input. Very comfortable.

Bought this specifically for a better grip since I have big hands. Keep in mind this can only be used in handheld mode since they have no power once disconnected from the switch. So if you want an awesome grip when playing in handheld then this is definitely worth it.

You loose rumble, ir, and the ability to scan amiibo but younger two programmable buttons and turbo. These are a must own if you don't like the joycons. Just wish they had internal battery since they will drain your switch faster when using.

I purchased this for Animal Crossing New Horizons. Thanks to the turbo button, I am able to just sit back and relax while I craft 30 something bait at a time. Meteor showers are also a breeze. Some might call it lazy but I say why work harder when you can work smarter. While it makes the switch look huge, it feels a lot better holding than the regular joy cons. After putting in 400 hours into one game, it definitely has saved my hands. Overall, I’m glad I purchased and would recommend it to anybody spending a great deal of hours on the switch.

Great controller grips- ergonomic and comfortable. Doesn’t hurt my hands like the OEM design does. I prefer to use these now.- originally bought because of joycon drift. Now I use these instead.

These are great if your hands cramp up while using basic joycons. Don’t work wirelessly but whatever. Still able to dock switch while they are attached the feeling is better then the Wii U game pad
