“My GE Hotpoint washer just went out after 32yrs. I could push the button to stop the wash or lift the lid. Does this model have a way to let me soak my whites like I have always done. I would like to have the option to soak. Thanks for your follow-up”

After the washer has stopped filling, press the Start/Pause pad to pause the cycle. The washer will remain in pause allowing you to soak the wash load for up to 24 hours (providing the lid remains closed). To complete the cycle, press the Start/Pause pad again. If not restarted before the 24-hour time limit is up or if the washer lid is left open for 15 minutes, the washer will automatically cancel the cycle and drain the tub.
