• A:Answer Seems like it, which is great since there are already a lot of maintenance videos on the Xiaomi, such as tire repairs. I'm not sure if Hover-1 cut corners on the inner tube, rim, or tire, but they WILL get flat, just a matter of time. Best suggestion is adding slime sealant to prevent and repair the tires. Changing them is a pain.

• A:Answer Tires are available on Amazon. They sell a solid tire that doesn’t use air so you don't get a flat. To take the wheel off, there are plastic covers hiding the hardware that attaches the wheel. Remove the plastic covers to take the wheel off. I hope your scooter is a good one. I have had to return two of them because of defects.

• A:Answer Technically the handlebars are screwed on so a small enough U lock would be possible. You could also run something through the spokes on the rear tire. I wouldn’t recommend either though. Anyone with any motivation is going to be able to defeat those ideas with little to know trouble. Best Buy’s sells a smart u lock that is small enough to lock around the handle bar support tube and will notify your phone if anything is tampered with which might give you enough time to return before someone unscrewed to two screw and removed the handle bars. It does collapse very simply and nicely. If I have to go in somewhere I take it with and either set it behind a security desk or bring it along. It’s heavy, whisk sucks but easy to carry.

• A:Answer The Hover-1 Journey struggles on hills, but if can get you up a mild grade one (~15 degrees or so). I'm 230 lbs and mine slows down to around 7-8 mph on hills; you'd probably do better if you're lighter. A couple of times when I was gunning the throttle all the way on a longer hill the engine cut out completely, and I had to wait 30 seconds before I could start it up again. I actually had the engine die on me again today on a completely flat bike path, but I was going along beside the river into some extremely strong head-winds. Long story short, the engine on this scooter works fine on flat ground but if you live in an area with a fair amount of hills I'd recommend something more powerful (and probably more expensive).

• A:Answer The 36v battery can be replaced if needed. When checked mine hald about 41.5v fully charged. It is held in with 4 nuts. You remove the bottom plastic plate. There are 17 - 2mm allen head screws. There is a sticky gasket between the plastic plate and bottom housing to seal out moisture. Once removed the battery is fastened in by 4 nuts and a power disconnect. Didn't weigh but, its maybe a couple pounds. Shape is rectanglar and I would guess about 10-12 long, about 3" wide and 2" depth. I took mine apart because it would not power on but, the battery check out fine. There is also a small controller box in the battery compartment that I suspected might be my problem or the "on/off" display board in the steering head. By the way the cover can be easily snapped off the steering head with a flat knife to access the display board. I did not have a way to check the controller box or display board so don't know if its my problem or even where to get parts? Maybe this helps some.

• A:Answer No, you don't get a spare battery. Between 3 children we have had 4 scooters - all of them had defective valves on one tire and it wouldn't inflate properly. The tires popped almost immediately on all 4 of them. We have returned them. In my opinion, this scooter is junk!!
