Safety gear (helmets and pads) are highly recommended as the wheels are much smaller than a regular bicycle, so sudden twists on the handle becomes sharp turns. A:AnswerI've taken the control display off. It doesn't seem to have any sort of gasket or protection against direct water. I would advise against riding it in direct water exposure.
