A:Answer I assume you are using the term "upgrade" in a relative fashion, as it usually applies to going from one version of something (such as MS Windows 10 Home) to a more advanced or capable one (such MS Windows 10 Pro). What you are actually talking about is changing operating systems entirely, which is something very different, and much more involved.
If you don't know what Linux distribution you want or should use, you are probably too inexperienced to attempt this at all, so don't. You will probably end up with a very pricey brick.
