- Answer This is a micro shredder - pieces are much smaller than the shredder the HP replaced.

- Answer Hello, the device is recommended to be run for no more than 60 minutes on with a 40 minutes off cycle. There is a built in fan to assist with cooling the motor. Thank you for being an HP customer!

QuestionDoes the automatic feed tray allow for staples (and/or paper clips) to be shredded? Or do staples (and/or paper clips) have to be removed prior to putting the papers in the automatic feeder?

- Answer It will handle staples. The specs don't mention paperclips, but if the metal they're made from is no larger than you'd find in a normal staple it should handle those as well.
