Thank you for the question. This laptop will serve the purpose, however, you might want to consider using cloud storage (25GB Dropbox storage is included free for 12 months.) or connecting an external drive to augment storage.

So it depends on how much you need to do but a 4 GB ram has worked well for me if you are doing a lot then maybe a 8 GB model but not higher.
