• S mode is a secure version of Windows that limits you to installing apps from the Microsoft App Store and using the Microsoft Edge web browser. You can switch out of S mode for free in the Windows account settings of your computer. Once you switch out of S mode, you can not switch back. Your laptop will upgrade to Windows 11 Home once you switch out of S mode.

• Safe mode: Safe mode typically provides access to utility and diagnostic programs so a user can troubleshoot what is preventing the operating system from working normally. Safe mode is intended for maintenance, not functionality, and it provides minimal access to features. However if your referring to Xbox S mode S Mode is a safer mode that only allows verified downloads, usually from the Windows 10, 11 etc .I wouldn't use it for day to day.
