“OK I just bought this. Can I add a 16gb RAM to the 8gb that is already there, or do I just Add another 8gb RAM to the storage that is already there so the numbers match? Also I see it has 256gb storage. If I want to add more storage what do I buy?”

You can add a 16gb chip. If you have the funds id add two 16gb chips to replace the 8. Though 8gb has ran fine for me.
