QuestionDoes this this laptop get hot with use? My current laptop heats up so much after 30-60 minutes of use that it sometimes shuts down by itself. That's one of the reasons I need a new one!

- Answer It can be upgraded - but not easily and you run the risk of voiding your warrantee if you do it yourself since HP doesn't consider it to be user-upgradable (but at $209, who cares?) . There are two DIMM slots in the system (one with a 4GB DIMM and one empty one). Per pages 2 & 3 of the Maintenance and Service Guide, the system supports up to 16GB of RAM (UMA models) or 12GB of RAM (all other models). Refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05227786 ) and check out this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPn6uVAZXTc) before attempting to upgrade the memory yourself. - Answer Absolutely. I bought two as Christmas presents for my daughters. They each play Sims 4 on this laptop with no problems. They have also loaded and play Sims 3 and all their extension packs, about 15, with no problems. I bought this laptop for homework, web browsing, Netflix, You Tube, etc, and they all load and run fine. But, I specifically looked up the Sims 4 specifications, before buying, to make sure that this laptop is compatible (which it is) because my girls love to play The Sims. Hope this helps!

- Answer Yes, you can put Windows 7. I bought one of these laptops on 4/2/2017. I upgraded the hard drive to SSD and installed Windows 7. The computer is insanely fast! You just need the Windows 7 RTL8188EE wireless driver (current version is 2023.42.831.2016). After installing Windows 7, install the wireless driver, then use Windows Update to get the rest of the drivers. You can get the wireless driver here on Microsoft's website: http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=2023.42.831.2016

- Answer Easily. Mine for some reason is super slow and acts like it's has a bunch of virus' but it doesn't. and I can play Witcher 3 on it, which if you pc game a lot you should know that Witcher is one of the best games to stress test your pc on right now. And my friend has the same laptop and it works just fine.

- Answer When you enable Tablet Mode, the Start Menu becomes the Start Screen, similar to Windows 8. If you have a touchscreen, which this laptop does not, Tablet Mode makes it easier to use your finger to navigate, similar to opening apps on your phone. If you prefer the tablet mode, but don't have a touchscreen, you can use your touchpad/mouse and cursor to click on the icons/apps.

- Answer Absolutely, some files may not be available unless they were saved to your desktop though! So if you are planning on working offline, make sure you saved your work to your desktop, and not just the cloud.
