There are no monthly charges for using the laptop. However, you would need to have an internet contract with your internet service provider for the wireless service.

If you have Internet access in your home, you can install a Wi-Fi router and use it for no additional charge to your Internet account. If you have cable or DSL Internet, you probably already have Wi-Fi at home. No additional cost to use it. There is nothing else on the computer that requires a subscription or other continuing payments. The only possible exception is if you purchased a subscription to Microsoft Office 365, which is a cloud based version of Office. It is of course possible to purchase from a cellular provider some sort of 4G Internet connection that would have monthly charges.
