• There are options for larger memory. I believed your relative got this option to pay less. More memory more expensive.

• Thank you for the question. Entry-level laptops rarely have a large amount of SSD storage.There is always the option to connect an external hard drive or use an SD card should the user want to expand storage. You'll find that our premium PCs (Envy, Spectre, Omen) have more onboard storage.
