• I do all my writing on this laptop too. It has a nice large keypad, but it is not back lit - if that is a concern of yours. It did not come preloaded with Word, so you will need to order it and either have it loaded for you or have an internet connection to load it yourself. You do not need to be connected, however, to use it once it is loaded. Hope this answers your question.
