Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it doesn't overheat. At least not yet. But some of the print on the screen is so small you can't read it and I'm trying to find out how to make it larger. It isn't a matter of just increasing the size like to do an Excel or some of the internal operations of Programs. It is actually the computer itself some of its messages are too small to read. If you find out how to change that let me know.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I keep all my laptops on vented stands and have no problem. The HP is the least heat prone of all the laptops I've owned, it does cycle the fan at shutdown to remove heat before inactive status.
