Question2 questions. I need to put a program on the computer but it requires the computer to be able to use a password not a pin as to have Capital and lower case as well as numbers and symbols and also to be upgrade to 11 pro. Can this computer do both?

- Answer As others have answered, a password can be used for accessing functions as well as a PIN. As for upgrading to Windows 11 Pro: the only difference between Home and Pro is that Pro has certain, extra features, like BitLocker and the ability to connect to a domain; these extra features do not place a greater demand on the OS or operation. However, as with most things, while 8GB of RAM is sufficient for operation, 16GB or more is recommended, especially for business, where you might need to switch between applications quickly and without any hindrance.

- Answer NEVER ask the manufacturer of the hardware what software will run on it. It's ALWAYS the other way around: check the websites of the game manufacturers for minimum AND recommended specifications.

- Answer Thank you for asking the questions about the amount of RAM and the capacity of SSD that this computer will take. You can upgrade the memory up to 32 Gb of RAM, and the computer will take any capacity of SSD that's currently made.

QuestionCan you tell my why on 2 of 2 17" laptops the case broke at the hinges within 2 years?

- Answer I'm not HP but I've had two of these and it happened both times. The first was under warranty so they sent a replacement which was an upgrade of some specs but within a year started doing the same as the first before the case broke. The hinge inside is very tight in order to support the large screen and it puts pressure on the plastic case of the laptop. HP isn't strengthening the case where the hinge connects nor are they improving the design. Due to this, I won't buy HP anymore.
