Not from what I have read online. However, when I was trying to take the bottom panel off it was rather difficult & since it is someone else's laptop I didn't want to break anything & I backed away from doing so. The RAM looks to be expandable and actually has 2 banks (up to 2 banks of 8GB/bank for a total of 16GB of RAM) but only one SATA hookup for a drive. However, the drive is only 1TB & SSDs are falling in price so look for a really good deal & then just "migrate" or do a 1:1 copy of the HDD to an SSD.
