“I'm hearing about something called S mode with this laptop. Can anyone explain that and what needs to be done to use this in regulary Windows 10 Home mode. Will it cost anything to use it in regular home mode?”

'S Mode" basically only allows programs/apps to be installed from the Microsoft Store. Not too difficult to turn it off. Just do a search with your favorite "search provider" and follow some easy steps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.S mode just basically restricts non-Microsoft apps from being downloaded. With S mode enabled, it helps Microsoft guarantee no viruses since apps from unknown sources can't be downloaded. It can be turned off and on at no cost.
