A:Answerit is a solid state drive so most likely minimal noise and heat. I did not buy this model but have an older generation HP with solid state drive with 8GB RAM and it is very quiet. it uses 2nd generation quad core i7 processor (my computer is about 6-7 years old). they have undoubtedly made improvements since then
