“I purchased a new HP laptop as well as the 200 wireless mouse. I inserted the batteries and the USB thing with the blue cap into the mouse as directed. REd light on. doesn't work. Am I missing something?”

• The USB unit goes into your computer, not the mouse. It receives the mouse's signal for movement, clicking, etc.

• The USB dongle goes into an open USB port on the laptop.
