The HP - 200 Wireless Optical Mouse, (made in China), was received on the day that was predicted when I ordered it at the Best Buy store that had sold out of their in-store stock.
It arrived in well protected packaging and in good condition.
After taking it out of its heavy plastic wrapping, I finally figured out where the battery compartment was and how to open it, as detailed operating instructions were lacking. It seems that every mouse has a unique location for batteries and equally unique methods for removing the battery compartment cover.
Fortunately after inserting the battery into the mouse; and the receiver into the USB port of my HP laptop computer; my computer immediately recognized the mouse and began working as expected. I didn't need to down load any drivers or sync it to my computer, likely because both the mouse and my computer are made by HP.
The HP - 200 Wireless Optical Mouse works as expected, and has not shown any deficits or inadequacies. It is comfortable to hold and to manipulate. It responds immediately and accurately. I am not a gamer so I don't need exceptionally fast response, however the HP - 200 Wireless Optical Mouse seems to respond as fast as I need it to.
My only criticism, which won't change anything, is the heavy plastic packaging that is so hard to cut and so unnecessarily difficult to remove. This is why i gave only 4 stars in this review, which is not fair to the actual mouse, which should get 5 stars.
Every time I cut open that type of packaging, I end up getting painful cuts and scrapes on the skin of my fingers, from the sharp edges along the plastic as it is removed. I wish there was a less wasteful and painful packaging option for computer accessories.
However, the HP - 200 Wireless Optical Mouse is a good product so far, and i would recommend it to anyone wanting a standard
stripped-down, everyday working computer mouse, for a decent price.
