“I accidentally put the batteries in the wrong way. Whilst putting them in I cut the little slip because I didn't know that's how you remove batteries. How could I get them out again?”

• Just use a butter knife to gently pry between the “+” side of the battery and the inner housing of the battery cage and push toward the “-“ Sid of the battery compressing the spring and then just gently pull toward you once the “+” side of the battery has cleared the housing. Free Willy!!
