Will a display sport adapter to a hdmi get 144hz null

HDMI 2.1 (higher bandwidth) cable will get you there, unless you're talking 120hz on a PS5.

On my monitor only the DisplayPort input will run 144 Hz. According to the specifications for HDMI version 1.3 or later will support 1920 by 1080 at 144 Hz. I guess it would depend on the adapter?
