• You can use an adapter if that is easier!! For instance, a HDMI to VGA adapter--plug the HDMI side into the monitor, and the VGA side into your PC!

• Yes, it will. I run two of these in my set-up. Since my laptop doesn't have 2 HDMI ports, I have one connected through the VGA port and the other connected through the HDMI port. The picture looks exactly the same to me. Hope this helps!
