How do I hook up external speakers and subwoofer? null

HP says you have to install a soundcard, then also says you just hook up to the headphone out. So one HP rep is wrong. I have NEVER seen a computer that you can't hook external speakers to, right out of the box.

John, thank you for your question on this HP all-in-one desktop! Since this computer is not equipped with a multi-channel sound output, you would need to purchase an external sound card with the respective connectors. The external sound card will plug into a USB port.
