“I have an HP photosmart printer, what black ink cartridge do I use? I've seen remarks that one of them cannot be used for photo printing. HELP!!! I have an HP photosmart printer that prints, copies and scans. If I buy the cartridge(s) for photo printing, do i then change them when i print on printer paper. I am very confused and it shouldn't be so hard. An ink cartridge should work for both. How do I know which colored cartridges to use. All ink cartridges are expensive, are usually not returnable and I don't want to get stuck with the wrong type.”

All HP Photosmart printers will print excellent photos with the included ink cartridges. However, some models have optional photo cartridges that can be used to increase the range of colors that the printer can print, which results in even higher quality photos. Without knowing which exact HP Photosmart printer you are working with, I am not able to supply more specific information. However, you can rest assured that your printer will still print excellent photos even without an optional photo cartridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a Photo Ink cartridge and a Black cartridge. You must have a Photo Ink cartridge and a Black cartridge. I have found, though, that in addition to the Photo ink used, the black ink goes down quicker when printing photos.
